Delaware County Historical Society - “From Wilderness to Civilization: The Journey to Delaware County, Part II”

Funding is requested for the researching, planning and assembly of the exhibit. In Social Studies, grade three students study "Communities: Past and Present, Near and Far" with a focus on local history. Grade four studies Ohio history, grade five students look at"" Regions and People of the Western Hemisphere"" and grade eight students study the United States from 1492 to 1877. This project will meet the standards of students in each of these grades. Though the learning connections will be accessible for students, the information and hands-on activities will be engaging for adults and students.
