Art is a place for children to learn to trust their ideas, themselves, and to explore what is possible. Maryann F. Kohl Stained glass, fiber arts, and sewing are artistic forms of expression that have the potential to allow adolescents to "learn to trust their ideas, themselves, and explore what is possible" through the exploration of creative endeavors in these classes. Funds from this grant would give a minimum of 180 students the opportunity to learn from classes led by professional teaching artists and arts educators. These classes would take place during the month of June on campus at Ohio Wesleyan University (OWU) at OWjL Camp.
