People in Need, Inc. of Delaware County Ohio - Parking Lot Expansion

For many years, People in Need has partnered with the local businesses on Johnson Drive for volunteer parking and staging lines to enter our lot as we serve growing numbers of those in need. At times, even with partner space, we have had issues of blocked traffic, averted accidents and struggled to have the volunteers needed to direct the traffic flow. Due to growth of the businesses in our area, we no longer have a staging area and the parking lots we may use require volunteers to walk along a busy road with considerable truck traffic. Staff and volunteers who help with traffic flow have considerable risk with directing traffic.

We have begun talking to contractors about expanding our parking lot to flow around our building, and allow additional parking on the back of our property. We are in the beginning stages of the project. As such, based on basic quotes from four providers, we are told this project will range from $98K - $325K.
