Stratford Ecological Center - The DCF Giving Garden

Through the Giving Garden Program, children and families in the Delaware community will receive education on food literacy and hands-on experience in growing their own food at home. Participants, volunteers, and community partners such as DACC and Alpha Group will be actively involved in caring for and growing fresh produce in our designated Giving Garden, with the sole purpose of providing fresh produce for our community. Over 2000 pounds of food will be donated to PIN, benefiting children and families at Liberty Community Center, Second Ward, and Family Promise, amplified by educational materials, gardening consultations, and recipes. This initiative will promote better nutrition, healthy lifestyles, and a sense of self-sufficiency among the recipients.
