The Terri L. Copeland Memorial Buckeye Business Scholarship was created in 2015 as a tribute to the life of Terri Copeland.
Preference is given to well-rounded students from Delaware County who demonstrate a balance among commitments to school, work, extra-curricular activities, and spending time with family and friends. The scholarship considers students attending any college, but may show some preference to students planning to attend The Ohio State University to study business, Terri’s Alma Mater and a place that was always very close at heart.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Must have GPA of at least 3.0 of higher on a 4-point scale or its equivalent;
* Must be enrolling full-time in an accredited university or college, preferably The Ohio State University;
* Preference give to students pursuing an education in Business;
* Consideration is given to applicant’s financial need.
*NOTE: This scholarship may be renewed for undergraduate work if: (1) student maintains GPA of at least 3.0 and (2) reapplies annually
Terri was a 1980 graduate of The Ohio State University and was a 30-year resident of Delaware County. As an entrepreneur, she started and grew a successful accounting firm from her home and later opened offices in Delaware County: The TLC Group.
Terri lived her life to the fullest (FUN was serious!) while being highly committed to her family, friends, church and business. She was deeply devoted to a personal level of service to her clients and made a lasting impact on everyone she met through her fun-loving outlook on life. Terri loved spending time with her many friends, family, never missed a Buckeye tailgate or the opportunity to return a hearty “I-O” to an “O-H.”
Terri’s family is honored to be able to continue her legacy by awarding this scholarship to a student from Delaware County annually.
