The Hutchinson family has benefited from owning and managing a multi-generational chemical manufacturing
company. The chemical manufacturing business, by its nature, is heavily reliant on fixed assets to produce
chemical products of value to its customers. Trade craft in the areas of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, welding,
process logic controls, maintenance, and operator skills are essential to keep the business sustainable. The
chemical industry is just one industry in Ohio that needs a steady supply of qualified people in the trades.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Candidate must be a resident of Delaware County and have earned a high school diploma or GED.
• Candidate must provide proof of enrollment or acceptance into an accredited trade school,
  vocational program, apprenticeship, or technical training program.
• Candidate must submit at least one (1) letter of recommendation from an instructor, employer, mentor,
  or community leader who can speak to the applicant’s character, work ethic, or commitment to a skilled
  trade.
• Candidate must demonstrate financial need, as determined through the scholarship application
  process
