Linda Silverstein was an avid reader, and passionate about supporting libraries and promoting lifelong learning. She was an educator for over 30 years.  In her retirement, she was a dedicated volunteer with the Friends of the Delaware County District Library serving as the outreach coordinator and/or secretary during her tenure.  Linda believed that learning and reading were essential for life.  She also believed in serving the community in which she lived and was not afraid to challenge the status quo.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Delaware County High School.
• Applicant must be planning to attend a post-secondary college or university.
• Preference is given to applicants planning to study library science or education.
• Applicants engaged in community service are preferred.
