Paul F. Sherer Scholarship

Application Begins: 02/01/2026
Application Ends: 03/10/2026

This scholarship was established in memory of Delaware County resident, Paul Sherer, by his family to support girls graduating from Olentangy Local School District who plan to pursue degrees in STEM fields. Paul spent the majority of his 30-year career teaching high school chemistry and physics. He was known for bringing science to life for his students through hands-on demonstrations and experiences, and for his daughters by showing the application of science in our daily lives. His three daughters attended Olentangy schools, and Paul served on the Board of Education for Olentangy Local School District, including his tenure as President of the Board. As a passionate advocate for public education and a visionary leader, the work of the board during his tenure paved the way for the district’s exponential growth. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 1964 with a degree in Education, followed by a Masters from Ohio Wesleyan University.
