Weiler Family Career Technical Education Scholarship AND Scholarship Renewal

The Weiler family is funding this scholarship with the purpose of supporting graduating high school students who are determined to succeed and wish to pursue a career in vocational/technical areas, yet they have not been afforded the opportunities, resources, or encouragement.  While some students are highly successful on academically-focused tracks, for other students, a four-year tenure in a university does not serve their interests nor goals.

Those in technical careers have built the foundation of this nation.  Often, however, they have not received the support nor encouragement that other more privileged students have received.  This grant is to help those who have been underserved and/or marginalized by traditional institutions with the aim of helping these students fulfill their career aspirations.

Scholarship Guidelines

  • Student must be enrolled at a Delaware County High School (Ohio) or a student currently enrolled at the Delaware Area Career Center.
  • Applicant must have plans to attend post-secondary career technical education leading to a certificate or degree.
  • Preference will be given to students demonstrating financial need.
  • Scholarship recipients may apply and compete in subsequent years, as this scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years of post-secondary education.
